In 1976, two brothers, Mr. Ramesh Khemka and Mr. Narendra Khemka, started trading in laminates and plywood. Several years of experience and a heightened understanding of customer needs and aspirations led them to setting up their own production unit, a plywood factory, by 1985. This was followed in 1994 by the establishment of their first laminate manufacturing unit under the name of Saffron Decoratives Pvt. Ltd.
Operating from their head office in Okhla Phase - 2, New Delhi, they maintained consistent focus on providing customers with the latest technology and strong quality. With this end in mind, they undertook thorough research and development and eventually set up their second laminate manufacturing unit at Bhiwadi in Rajasthan under the name Safedecor Pvt. Ltd. in 2001. Their combined capacity now increased to 13 million square metres annually.
A strong distribution chain including more than 50 distributors and 1500 dealers across the country means that a customer is never far from a quality Safedecor product. Our approach to building relationships is to create value all-around, be it with a dealer or with a customer, and that has helped us to spread our network, while maintaining trust and quality.
As the demand for high quality and special designs and textures grows both within the country and internationally, Safedecor is poised to cater to the specific needs of the market. Our machines are all top of the line: the Press Machines are the bestto be found in India, while both the Sanding Machines and Press Moulds are imported to ensure best quality. Our quality assurance standards are so stringent that not even a single flaw is passed on to the customer, be it a design or texture. Every single raw material is exhaustively tested at the in-house, full-fledged testing facility. To meet the standards set by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), we utilize the Sample Press Machine to develop sample laminates. Once the laminate sample meets all the requirements of BIS, we use the raw material for production. These and other stringent processes have helped Safedecor become an ISO 9001:2008 company.
